Rev. Ron Carlson

Rev. Ron Carlson has been a diligent anti-Mason who has lined his pockets by "exposing" the secrets of masonry in his audiotapes. His organization is calling "Christian Ministries International."

Rev. Carlson is fond of quoting from the works of Albert Pike. The only problem with his quotations are that he has not been truthful about presenting them. Here is an example of how Carlson fails to tell the whole truth when quoting from Morals and Dogma:

All the mysteries should be kept concealed, guarded by faithful silence, lest it should be inconsiderately divulged to the ears of the Profane. He sins against God who divulges to the unworthy the Mysteries confided to him. The danger is not merely in violating the truth, but in telling the truth.

Carlson makes a comment about the above paragraph:

Albert Pike says it is a sin to divulge the truth. Now, how different this is from what we read in God's Word?

We certainly would have to agree with Carlson at his point wouldn't we? The only problem is, Carlson seemed to leave out part of the quote. Did he do this innocently, or was this on purpose to prove Masonry is evil? I will put Carlson's omissions in italics:

St. Ambrose, Archbishop of milan, who was born in 340, and died in 393, says in his work De Mysteriis: "All the Mystery should be kept concealed, guarded by faithful silence, lest it should be inconsiderately divulged to the ears of the Profane … it is not given to all to contemplate the depths of our Mysteries…that they may not be seen b those who ought not to behold them; nor received by those who cannot preserve them." And in another work: "He sins against God, who divulges to the unworthy the Mysteries confided to him. The danger is not merely in violating the truth, but in telling truth, if he allows himself to give hints of them to those from whom they ought to be concealed… Beware of casting pearls before swine! Every Mystery ought to be kept secret; and , as it were, to be covered over by silence, lest it should rashly be divulged to the ears of the Profane. Take heed that you do not incautiously reveal the Mysteries!"

Let's look at what Rev. Carlson did. He said he was quoting Pike when in fact Pike was quoting St. Ambrose, one of the Fathers of the Early Christian Church. He leads his listeners to believe that this is coming from Albert Pike and all Masons. He radically changed the quotation by leaving out the most essential parts of it.

We could give many other examples of Carlson's methods, but is there any need? How can we believe anything he says? In my opinion, he has disqualified himself as a voice against Masonry.
